How to Find a Job
As you may already know it could be really difficult to find new jobs. Searching classified ads could be a way to find available positions, but it is not the most effective one. Right?
Well, after many years working as a freelancer, I have understood that if you are not a member of a community and if you do not have good sources you can never make enough money online. When I am saying enough I do not mean make a million of dollars of course. I just mean make a living online.
Below I list the sites that I use in order to find new opportunities. I hope you will find them helpful too…
SitePoint.com
This is the one that I use most of the time. Just join the forum (it is free) and browse the categorie “Looking To Hire” that you can find in the marketplace. Read the posts to find those that fit best to you and contact the buyers. Do not just make a promotional post, this will not work. Try to “sell” yourself by just giving more details about you and don’t forget to be nice, this counts a lot. Try to contact as many as you can each day, so you never run out of jobs to complete.
Webmaster-talk.com
This is a forum, where you can not only find a job, but also find solution to your problems (having to do with being a freelancer of course). Just join the forum and follow the same prosess as before.
Getafreelancer.com
This is not a forum, it is more like an online auction for freelancers. You need to join them to be able to bid on open projects. This goes like this: You browse the category and try to find a project that you can complete. Next, you have to bid on it and wait….
Those three I use most, but of course there are hundrends more out there. Just make a google searchusing the keywords “freelance jobs” or something like this and surf the sites until you find a proper one.
Good Luck…
